Ling 3.1 Flash 1019 Is Free in Command Code
Ling 3.1 Flash 1019 is free in Command Code for the next four days, on all plans and subscriptions. It’s InclusionAI’s upgrade to Ling 3.1 Flash: an open-weight reasoning model for coding and agent workflows, with 560B total parameters, 25B active, and a 1 million-token context window. It’s also free on Vercel AI Gateway (opens in a new tab) until November 3.
How good is it? InclusionAI says 1019 improves reasoning and agentic work over the original 3.1 Flash, but there’s no independent benchmark of the update yet. For the original 3.1 Flash, MindStudio’s hands-on test (opens in a new tab) found it strong on practical tasks like SVG design, but weak on complex, open-ended agentic coding: it finished a multi-step game build that didn’t actually work.
Budget impact: Four free days is enough to test it on real work at no cost. Open weights mean other providers can serve it after the promo ends, but at 560B parameters, self-hosting isn’t cheap. The 1M context helps with large codebases; it doesn’t guarantee correct output.
Verdict: worth testing this week, on scoped tasks. Give it small, well-defined tasks, inspect every diff and run tests. Compare it against your current model on fixes and retries, not just price. Check Command Code for when the free window ends. Model card (opens in a new tab).
